i have no idea where i got this album. i didn't even know i had it until it popped up on the old ipod the other day. now it's on constant repeat. it's a little self-helpy, but i like that kind of thing.
it seems like everyone i know is going through a hardcore 90s music phase. thinking about all the songs we loved as kids, this one popped up. i don't know who got us in to it, but my group of friends in high school was obsessed with this song. i don't even remember listening to any other 7seconds songs until way later when a boyfriend put "trust" on a mixtape (cute)...but this song- constant rotation. there are clips on youtube with better sound quality, but this one is my favorite. i love all the sweaty kids. they are so happy- singing along in pure bliss. do kids still act that way at shows? they have to, right? i went to an avail show in the fall and i didn't really feel this kind of energy. maybe that was because it was just a bunch of old heads complaining about the new school (have you heard goldfinger's crap version?), wishing they could sit down because their back hurt and being appalled that the show went past 11:30.
P.S. i didn't realize until 2 minutes in that kevin seconds is wearing the 'born to lose' bouncing souls shirt!
i like this show a little too much and there is absolutely no reason for it. it's remarkable how not at all remarkable the show actually is. but yet, i'm obsessed. like hanging out with a friend, oops we need to rush home and please stop talking it's on crazy about it. i've even analyzed these people to the point that i'm theorizing on their pizza preferences. it's over soon, thank god.
so pretty. i'm totally going to make it. though there is a 97% chance i will just get all the supplies and then never do it. and if i actually do complete it, there is a 94% chance i will construct it poorly and burn the house down.
